Make Space for a Positive Mindset

The average person has an estimated 50,000 thoughts per day!  Take a moment to think about the thoughts that run through your mind. Are they positive and uplifting? “Today is going to be an amazing day!” Or negative and self-defeating? “I don’t have the energy to get through today.”

Positive thoughts boost your mood, spirit, and generate even more positivity and happiness in your life. Conversely, pessimistic  thoughts create a domino effect of negativity. Your thoughts tremendously affect how you live your life and how others perceive you. Thankfully, you don’t have to live with negative mental chatter. Choose to change the channel and have a positive outlook.  It takes practice, but soon enough, your mind will naturally gravitate toward positive thoughts. Secrets of Balancing Home and Work Life

Being out of balance can have significant effects on all aspects of your life. Create harmony in your life and establish a healthy rhythm that’s sustainable and feels good to you.

  • Care For Yourself: Build time into your schedule to indulge in things you love to do that nourish you.
  • Establish Good Boundaries at Home and Work: Set working and non-working hours, and honor your word regarding your schedule. Clearly communicate guidelines for how and when to reach you outside of these hours, if necessary.
  • Batch Similar Activities Together: Conserve your energy by limiting the amount of “back and forth” between tasks. Group similar tasks together in time blocks so you can ride the momentum and improve efficiency.  
  • Get Support From Family and Friends: Communicate your vision and goals to include ways they can help and keep you accountable.
  • Create a 3-Year Plan to Achieve Your Desired Income Level

What Would You Do If You Weren't Afraid

Despite having good intentions, many people live their lives on autopilot, not fully experiencing themselves or the world around them. And while activities like yoga, exercise, and meditation may help, many find it difficult to stay focused when confronted with the challenges and demands of our fast-paced society. 

Ask yourself: What would I do if I weren’t afraid?

  • Acknowledge Your Obstacles: Is there anything in your life you know you need to confront but have been avoiding (speaking up to a boss, ending or mending a romantic relationship, losing weight)? Sometimes fear can debilitate us to the point that we get stuck in denial and make excuses.
  • Give Fear a Shape: Ask yourself what you are most afraid of. What factors contribute to your fear, what triggers it, and what gives it power over you? Consider the ways your fears have been getting in the way of your happiness and success.
  • Visualize Your Dream Life: If not for other people’s judgments and expectations, what would you be doing with your life right now?
  • Break it Down: Once you become consciously aware of what you want, you can begin to confront the areas of your life that are not in alignment with your truth. From there, create a few small, reasonable goals for yourself each week to get yourself  moving in the direction you want to go.
